FOOD - BASIC LIFE NECESSITY
Our school provides daily breakfast and lunch to our 400 students and staff each day we are open.
- Breakfast consists of vitamin/mineral peanut butter pouches are provided by Medical Food for Kids. Locally grown peanuts and medically designed to meet the nourishment needs of starving children. See https://mfkhaiti.org/ for more information.
- Lunch consists of hot lunch of Manna Rice from Feed My Starving Children. Manna Rice contains micronutrients and vitamins that meet the nourishment needs of starving children. See https://www.fmsc.org/ for more information.
- When there is civil unrest and during our current pandemic, we are often unable to obtain food from the above resources. Food is then purchased through local Haitian source (averaging $1300/month)
- Provide protein focused food to Manna of Hope Nourishment Center.
- Rice, beans, milk, peanut butter, eggs, Manna Rice packs to pregnant women.
